The cruise has 23 aesthetically designed cabins; including two ‘Suites’ with balcony, two ‘Luxury Cabins with balcony, seven ‘Deluxe Cabins’ with balcony, and 12 ‘Superior Cabins’ without balcony. Every unit is air-conditioned and comes with attached spacious bathrooms. The rooms are fully equipped with flat-screen television sets and satellite connections, mini-bars, telephones and electronic safes.
The cabins have large picture windows that exploit natural light in the day time, while also providing breath-taking views of the setting and the rising of the sun on the river as it displays its golden hues on the powder blue waters of the Brahmaputra and the little country boats that dance in the shimmering light. The moon rise from the river is an out of the world experience.
The 5 deck MV Mahabaahu offers large public spaces on the open Sun deck with canopy for shade and a 360 degree view, the second deck and the swimming pool deck with sun beds to laze around and seating to enjoy beverages while gazing at the sand bars, villages and village-folk, fishermen in narrow country boats are seen throwing out nets with expert flourish, yellow-mustard fields, cylindrical beetle-nut and flourishing bamboo groves or a rhino, a buffalo, an elephant, some fresh water dolphins and some deer enjoying the lush river banks. Or, if lucky even a tiger.
